Dermal Fibroblast Exosomes
EXO Elixir™ contains Polypeptide Enriched Media derived from Dermal Fibroblast Stem Cells, along with a diverse variety of peptides and matrix proteins, paired with a blend of seven regenerative active ingredients. It is designed to regenerate skin at a cellular level.
Why fibroblasts matter
Skin is primarily made of collagen, which is produced by cells called fibroblasts. According to the manufacturer, we lose about 1% of dermal fibroblast stem cells each year, and aging reduces the body’s ability to produce them.
After treatment
The manufacturer describes EXO Elixir™ as a post-aesthetic-treatment formula intended to significantly reduce recovery time following medical device procedures.
Skin regeneration
It can help improve skin regeneration, modulate inflammation and accelerate healing, which also helps minimize the risk of infection and supports the formation of new blood vessels.

Key Growth Factors
TGFß3
Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 — described as the most important anti-inflammatory protein; converts inflammatory T cells into anti-inflammatory regulatory T cells.
FGF
Fibroblast Growth Factor — potent growth factors that repair and regenerate dermal fibroblast stem cells and tissue.
HGF
Hepatocyte Growth Factor — involved in organ regeneration and wound healing.
PDGF-BB
Platelet Derived Growth Factor Sub-Unit B — used to stimulate healing in soft and hard tissues.
MIP-1, MIP-2
Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 1 (CCL4) — recruits mononuclear cells to the treatment area.
VEGF
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor — helps create new blood vessels following an injury.
What Are Peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids — the building blocks of proteins in the skin. As protein fragments, they play a role in regenerating and maintaining healthy skin.
Signalling peptides
Act as messengers that help trigger collagen production, which supports skin elasticity and firmness.
Carrier peptides
Help deliver beneficial ingredients to the skin, enhancing their effectiveness.
Antioxidant peptides
Can help protect against free radical damage and support sun-damaged skin or skin showing oxidative stress.
Peptides may help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and sagging, and support the skin barrier. A skincare professional can help determine the most suitable type and concentration for your needs. Learn more about peptide therapy and exosomes at The Modern Woman.
